The IT industry is contributing valuble service to the society by providing employment to technical and non-technical graduates. It has the capability to generate huge foreign exchange inflow for India. India exports softwares and services to approximately 95 countries in the world. By outsourcing to India, many countries get benefits in terms of labour costs and business processes. The Indian companies are also broadening the range of services being provided to the customers which is resulting in more off shoring.
Information Technology is making a revolutionary changes in the management of data security, datamining and data warehousing. This concept is applicable to almost all fields. The recent trends of the information technology have to be seriously discussed. In order to discuss and deliberate on these issues, two days National Conference on Information Technology and its applications is jointly organized by the Centre for Information Science and Technology (CIST), and Department of studies in Computer Science Manasagangotri, University of Mysore, Mysore-6. The Conference provides paltform for the scientific information interchange between students, theoreticians and researchers. It also aims to promote research and developmental activities in the related fields and also seeks to foster the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas leading to significant advances in information technology and its allied applications.
The conference will be a great platform for industry, academic interaction. The information technology has made a great revolution and has its application in almost all disciplines. Participants will be exposed to the latest innovations and concepts in the field of information technology and applied fields. Such a unique conference is first of its kind.
